Are my images uploaded to a server?+
By default, images are processed locally in your browser with Tesseract.js. OCR history stores only text and lightweight metadata on your device, not the images.
Can I use TextLens offline?+
The app shell can open offline after it has been cached. Offline OCR requires the Tesseract worker, core, and language data to have been stored by your browser during previous use.
Which image formats are supported?+
TextLens accepts browser-supported image files such as JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, and TIFF. Actual support may vary by browser and device.
How can I improve OCR accuracy?+
Use a sharp, well-lit image, crop to the relevant text area, select the correct OCR language, and try rotation, grayscale, brightness, contrast, or sharpening when needed.
